Another bomb blast yesterday night rocked the city of Jos, capital of Plateau State in Nigeria's Middle Belt. It was the third bomb explosion in the formerly quiescent city in less than a week.

US joins search for abducted Nigerian girls

According to aljazeera, The United States has sent a team of experts to Nigeria to help find nearly 300 girls and women abducted from a school last month by the armed group Boko Haram.

US President Barack Obama described the kidnapping of the girls as "heartbreaking" and "outrageous", soon after residents said the group had seized eight more girls, aged between 12 and 15, again in the embattled northeast.
Obama urged global action against Boko Haram and confirmed Nigerian leaders had accepted an offer to deploy US personnel there.
The number of girls taken int he latest kidnapping has risen to 11, an official in the restive northeast said on Wednesday.

#BringBackOurGirls: "Two Of The Abducted School Girls Are Dead "

An intermediary of Boko Haram has claimed that two of the girls abducted by the Abubakar Shekau-led sect have died from snakebite while 20 others are critically ill. This shocking news has come as a blow to millions of Nigerians and people from around the world who have joined the BringBackOurGirls movement, demanding the release of the schoolgirls in good condition.

In a televised media chat on Sunday, President Goodluck Jonathan said that an encouraging bit of news so far was the fact that there had been no report of loss of lives. Unfortunately, that has changed now.

The leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, Alhaji Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, has dared Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, to be prepared to meet him on the battle field.
Asari-Dokubo, who dismissed the threat by the leader of the Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, against President Goodluck Jonathan, warned that 2015 would be “more than do-or-die.”
The Niger Delta region former fighter, who spoke Thursday night during a strategic partnership session with former militant leaders organised by the Niger Delta Development Commission, recalled how Shekau threatened that the violent Islamic sect would soon come for President Jonathan.

We’ll get Nyanya bombers – Police

The police said yesterday that the force has enough evidence that would lead to the arrest of the perpetrators of Monday’s, bomb blast at  Nyanya motorpark in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Assistant Inspector-General of Police(AIG), Zone 7, Suleiman Abbah, who briefed reporters on the update of investigation into the blast, assured Nigerians that the perpetrators would soon be arrested.
