Two men have been left writhing in pain after Pakistani police chopped off their left hands .They were accused of  stealing electrical wire and mobile phones.and reportedly refused to confess to their crimes. They were brought to the hospital 8 hours after their hands were cut off..

Police officer shoots dead 93-year-old woman

A small town Texas police officer responding to an emergency call about a female with a gun has been suspended for shooting dead a 93-year-old woman in her home, authorities said on Thursday.

Hearne police officer Stephen Stem fatally shot Pearlie Golden, who was brandishing a firearm, the Robertson County District Attorney's Office said in a statement.

"Officer Stem engaged the elderly female asking her to put down the weapon and then ultimately fired his own sidearm wounding Miss Golden, who later died at St. Joseph's Hospital," the statement said.

The Texas Rangers have been called in to investigate the incident in the central Texas town of Hearne. Hearne has a population of about 4,500 and is about 90 miles northeast of Austin.

Ex Militant, Asari-Dokubo Threatens Boko Haram Leader

The leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, Alhaji Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, has dared Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, to be prepared to meet him on the battle field.

Asari-Dokubo, who dismissed the threat by the leader of the Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, against President Goodluck Jonathan, warned that 2015 would be “more than do-or-die.”

The Niger Delta region former fighter, who spoke Thursday night during a strategic partnership session with former militant leaders organised by the Niger Delta Development Commission, recalled how Shekau threatened that the violent Islamic sect would soon come for President Jonathan.
