WhatsApp was put off from the Windows Phone Store two weeks ago and the
searches for the app turned up with this "We couldn't find a match. Try a
different spelling or search term on both windows phone8 and windows
8.1.
However the addictive chat service is back on Windows phone
again. WhatsApp had chosen Twitter to keep its user updated about the
changes and modification of WhatsApp.
Joe Belfiore, head the
Windows Phone/Tablet/PC product definition & design team has tweeted
about WhatsApp being back on windows phone store.
It is being
considered that the removal of WhatsApp was intentional so as to bring
it out again for windows phone with new updates after closely working
with Microsoft.
When the app was down for usage and had been
pulled out of the stores. Joe Belfiore had tweeted "For those w Q's on
WhatsApp: they pinged us about an issue that popped on notifications,
we're working with them on a fix. More info soon."
And on the
same day he tweeted again to explain the problem, "Ps - the
notifications core in wp8.1 is different than wp8. The WhatsApp issue is
in wp8 upd3. How's your wp8.1 notifications experience?"
Consequently,
WhatsApp is back after all the fixation with certain alteration that
can prove to be good for the user base. The new features it owns is chat
backgrounds, better privacy settings and the ability to customise
notification tones, broadcast lists, media auto-download settings and
other bug fixes.
A lot of users had been complaining about the
WhatsApp to the developers about serious issues with update 3 for
Windows Phone 8 that either caused errors or permanently disabled
notifications. Keeping all this in mind, WhatsApp took the step of
puling it out on technical grounds.
As for now WhatsApp is back on windows, and one can again download it from windows phone store.
