On the 25th of May, a commercial bus, popularly
known as Agolo, hit to death a 200L student of department of
microbiology in Akungba. His body is now lying in the morgue at Ikare.

As the police force and army tried to disperse
the protest by opening tear gas and shooting sporadically into the air,

According to the reaching reports, the fainted students are responding to treatment and two of them have been already discharged.
Addressing the angry students, the SUG president in person of Reformer gave the students assurance that everything has been put to order and that the campus is safe adding that he gave Akungba community an ultimatum of 24hrs to produce the driver of the bus that killed the student as the suspect fled after the crime.
